Vocational Services for Individuals

  • Vocational Counseling and Rehabilitation

We provide vocational rehabilitation counseling to individuals with any of the following disability types or injuries to overcome barriers to accessing, maintaining, or returning to employment: functional, psychological, developmental, cognitive, and emotional disabilities, health-related illnesses, impairments to physical development, and all physical injuries.

VMC is happy to work with non-disabled individuals who are uncertain what jobs might be a good fit for them as well.

  • Vocational Assessment/Testing

VMC can conduct vocational assessment and testing of individuals and perform interpretation of results to determine an individual’s skills, abilities, aptitudes, and job interests. The goal of this service is to identify vocational strengths, needs, career potential, or educational options in order to guide workers into feasible career paths.

  • Transferable Skills Analysis

VMC analyzes the skills acquired from an individual’s work experience, education, and their capabilities to determine skills that would transfer to other work.

  • Job Placement

We will assist workers to identify potential job openings that match their skill set. Our director will provide recommendations to help individuals become equipped to be good candidates for positions realistic for their profile. This is done by utilizing extensive research regarding the demands of positions, and interacting with employers and prospective candidates.

  • Labor Market Surveys

We will conduct surveys of the labor market upon request to determine what jobs may exist and the requirements and identify trends of the labor market.

  • Workers Compensation

VMC will work with injured employees and employers to assist through the worker’s compensation process. We make it a goal to assess the return-to-work needs of an individual and make recommendations regarding vocational rehabilitation.
