  • Workplace Modifications

    We will analyze workplaces to identify potential changes to the space that could improve the ergonomics, safety, and make the workflow more efficient. This is often done “post-injury” for individuals with disabilities or injuries who seek to return-to-work. We make our recommendations with two additional goals in mind as well: minimizing the risk of injury to all workers and providing employees the best possible opportunity to be successful in a job.

  • Ergonomics

    VMC will analyze work areas and provide recommendations to design or modify a work area in order to prevent repetitive injuries. Ergonomic modifications are implemented to fit the worker with a disability or injury, and to prevent injuries. The goal is to minimize discomfort and risk of injury while maintaining or improving workplace productivity.

    We provide these services to workers in many other settings, including office, manufacturing, warehouse, and other industrial environments.

  • Training

    VMC can conduct training in preventing injury and accommodating individuals with disabilities or injuries based on the company’s safety policies. We also create recommendations for implementing efficient and affordable training programs addressing workplace injuries and safety. We perform all training in a manner workers can understand in order to influence employees to adhere to new guidelines and create safer outcomes.

    Some examples of subject areas VMC has extended experience with providing training include educational programs related to “train-the-trainer” sessions, behavior-based safety training, OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, HR, and ADA issues.

  • Analyzing Loss Control/Injury Data

    VMC will review loss control and injury data to identify root and secondary causes of injuries for clients. Upon review, we’ll provide recommendations and solutions to ameliorate the causes of injury and otherwise address workers’ compensation, OSHA, and ADA issues.

  • Health & Wellness

    VMC is happy to work with health and safety and human resources personnel to develop and implement individualized health and wellness programs to fit your company.

Speaking Engagements

The Director of Workplace Evaluation at VMC is available to speak at events to your internal professionals on a number of vocational topics. Speakers' presentations can range from 45 to 90 minutes depending on the subject area.

These presentations can be geared toward adjusters, safety directors, insurance brokers, attorneys, business owners, management, supervisors, or human resource professionals.

Forensic Testimony

VMC provides vocational testimony related to personal injury, worker’s compensation, and disability cases. This generally involves comprehensive vocational assessment with data testing and interpretation of results.

Job Task Analysis

We will work with your company to analyze jobs and identify how the job is currently being done by observing workers in action to understand in detail how they perform their tasks within the context of their environment. This is helpful for use with hiring practices and identifying potential modifications that may make the work safer and more efficient for all workers in it. When requested, VMC can also provide training materials, job descriptions, and standard operating procedures to be used for hiring and training workers.
